Hola my yogi friends!

Greetings from Barcelona, my new home for an indefinite period… going where the journey takes me!

I’ve been wanting to post a blog update for a while, but have been caught up in the ‘joys’ of settling in… always a stressful period of acclimatizing, finding your way around, communicating with my very basic Spanish and tackling the Spanish legalities.  Luckily it wasn’t my first taste of Spanish bureaucracy so was quite prepared.

Anyway, I’m 3 weeks into my new job and things are finally starting to feel almost normal again, especially now that I’ve found time for my yoga routine.  I went 4 days without yoga, which without a doubt has left me feeling out of whack.

Today, I did an hour-long energising sequence (lots of warriors and lunges) and asanas specifically for better digestion with a combination of deep breathing, stretches that target abdominal organs, and lots of twists that massage and wring out stuck intestinal toxins.

Some great poses to promote better digestion are:

Tip for the Day:  If you’re having digestive problems/discomforts, suffer from IBS, bloating and so forth, turn to yoga for a natural relief.

Will keep you updated on my yoga experience here.  Yesterday I secured my first private yoga student 🙂  Looking forward to starting with her next month.  Hopefully, I can continue to build my yoga teaching experience here in Spain.
